What you need to do
The core is free to use. Enterprise features, kept in a separately licensed part of the code, need a paid license in production.
For OpenProject
All the code is GPL-3.0, but the Enterprise add-ons in the same codebase stay locked until you install a paid Enterprise token. Changes you distribute must be shared under the GPL.
GPL-3.0 (Community) + Enterprise add-ons unlocked by a paid token · Open source (copyleft). OSI-approved license that requires sharing changes under the same license when you distribute (AGPL: also when you offer it over a network).
