License

Free core, paid extras

MPL-2.0 · Open source (copyleft)

What you need to do

The core is free to use. Enterprise features, kept in a separately licensed part of the code, need a paid license in production.

For Logto

The code is MPL-2.0. A self-hosted install without a paid key can’t hide Logto branding, use a custom sign-in UI, IdP-initiated SSO, more than one Console admin or mandatory MFA, and is capped at three SAML apps.

MPL-2.0 (self-hosted features unlocked by a paid license key) · Open source (copyleft). OSI-approved license that requires sharing changes under the same license when you distribute (AGPL: also when you offer it over a network).
